I was born and brought up in Tripura,a small north eastern state of India. My father, Mr.Sukumar Roy was the
workshop superintendent at Tripura Polytechnic Institute. My mother, Mrs Sabita Roy is a housewife.I have an elder brother,Mr.Sourav
Roy,who is currently working in Rajasthan. After I completed my schooling from Shishu Bihar H/S School at Agartala(the capital
of Tripura),I joined T.E.C(Tripura Engineering College).I graduated in the year 2002.
"Zendagi Migzara" - life goes on.
I came to kolkata (was calcutta then) in the year 2003.I joined IISWBM(Indian Institute
of Social Welfare and Business Management) wherefrom I did my Masters in Human Resource Management.
I got picked up from the campus by TCS.Initially I was in Kolkata handling various
HR activities such as Recruitment,Training & Development,Employee Engagement,AIP etc.After that I shifted to SAP HR.Till
date I had worked in 2 SAP HR project as an SAP HR functional consultant.
In May 2007 I left TCS and joined Essar Steel Ltd as a Dy.Manager-HR.I was involved with all the HR activities along
with SAP-HR.
My Passion:
My passion is travelling.I am also very passionate about Human Resource Management.
Travelling to unknown places is something I truly love.It helps me to unwind myself and also helps me get to know
my country.Whenever I get time I pack my bags and move out. Most of the time its unplanned even to the extent of not predeciding
where to go....By not planning the travel becomes ever more exciting.
Human Resource Management is also something I am very passionate about. But
I somehow feel that HR doesnot get its proper due in organizations. And HR people are to be blamed for that. They
are always busy trying to do things without understanding the business and business objectives.....And the saddest part is
they always try to justify their stand and think themselves as a strategic business partner without even knowing their contribution
to the business.
