College days are the most colourful days in a person's life.There are mixed feelings of
anxiety and freedom associated with it.There is a sudden and suttle movement from the protected home enviroment to the world
of grownups.I feel that the biggest challenge of college life is to handle that freedom.
Tripura Engg.College(T.E.C):
My T.E.C days are also associated with those mixed feelings.I also liked the sudden transformation of my life,from
the confides of school to the vastness of college.I also enjoyed bunking classes,sitting in the canteen for hours togther
with my friends,going home late and sometimes trying to be cool puffing cigarettes.In those days ragging used to be a
part of our every day life.Though it was associated with a feeling of fear in my first year,it transformed into a feeling
of power and authority once we reached second year in our college.Though it may sound a bit strange, but I feel that
these things are very important for the overall growth of a person's personality.I feel that those are the things that takes
you closer to reality and brings out the man in you.
Another facet of our T.E.C life was the "adda" at Nirmala.During my entire T.E.C life I used to religiously pay
a visit to the "Nirmalla adda".Though it may not sound like one, but it was a very important part of our T.E.C life.
IISWBM(life at PRANTIK):
The memory of the days, I had spent at IISWBM (to be precise at PRANTIK Hostel) is something that I will always
cherish.Its been the best period in my life.For the first time I stayed away from home in a hostel.Life at PRANTIK was
simply rockin.Everybody I came across in that hostel was a master piece in himself.Be it Sumit(batak),Auro(billi),I.B(the
name still sends shivers down our spine),Das(the unsolved mystery),Chako(the perfect partner in drinking),Santosh(trouble
child),Raju(the old,bald and gyani),Bittu(better not say any thing about him),Hero(the 100kg......)Soumen da(the un....),Abhishek(kaddu),Radha(pettycoat
baba),Bhabesh(Lehrata aanchal,"aise kaise maar lijiyega"-in bihari accent),Kunal(Tanki),Rakesh(Taulia,Raka baba),Himanshu(aiow)
or Gaurav.We enjoyed every moment of our lives at PRANTIK.There was never a dull moment at PRANTIK.For the first time I enjoyed
unlimited freedom.We enjoyed everything at PRANTIK,be it playing cards throughout the night,or going for tea near CMC at 2
o,clock in the night.Every day in PRANTIK was an experience in itself.I have learnt that one should never to take panga
with a raging bull(Birthday of Hero) or that one should never touch anything which has been lying untouched for years(Ashish
Sahoo incident-only Sumit and I know).I have also made some of my best friends(Shivam,Imran,Sandy,Jaggs) at IISWBM.
